I used Hewitts to represent me during my divorce and what a mistake that was. Once they found out my financial status , a partner was allocated to my case costing me £250+vat per one hour meeting. They also billed me for a one hour meeting that didn't take place, just as well i checked the billing email. My allocated solicitor M.w.l took little interest in my complicated divorce case that cost me nearly £7000 in solicitors fee. I will never use or recommend this service to anyone. I made a Will with Hewitts at this time but have since changed it to a more robust trusting solicitor.

Great experience when buying my house earlier this year! Danielle was the conveyancing socilitor handling the legals and she was amazing. Made the process less stressful and would take the time to explain the process and reassure us as 1st time buyers. The price was very fair and there were no unexpected fees. It was my first time going to a solicitors and I must say my solicitor Ben green was really helpful he talked me though the whole process and the reseptionist were very helpful hence the 5 stars

My brother needed the service of a solicitor and was helped by solicitor John Turner. Mr Turner was exceptionally helpful and explained all procedures using plain language and treated my brother with professionalism and courtesy. I would recommend this firm and would definitely use them in the future.

I have used this firm for several items recently. They are expensive for the service they provide, which is adequate but you will need to chase them to ensure things are done. I had a meeting about personal & business wills and several months ago and am yet to receive any information.

I was executor to my late Mother's estate and based upon previous experience with Hewitts, I decided to use them again and that was an excellent decision. Stephanie and Danielle were extremely professional, always accessible and very helpful throughout the time that they were dealing with my case. Its impossible not to be happy with the service that they gave me and I take this opportunity to thank them both for making a difficult time, slightly more easier for me.

I know solicitors are famed for being laid back but I've been in the process of purchasing a house for 21 weeks now and have found that the solicitor I'm using has been incredibly passive when it comes to providing updates or chasing matters up. Much of the hold up has been caused by parties ahead of us in the chain however, all of this I've had to find out form the seller and his estate agent - otherwise we'd be in the dark. When I chase them for updates I'm given only part of the story and they take half a day or longer to reply to emails. There's a lot to be said for being proactive but these solicitors ARE NOT IT

I just used Hewitts to purchase a house in the local area. The person I dealt with was Adam Scott what an excellent service he provided. Adam was quick to reply easy to speak to and I never struggled at all to purchase my first house. I can honestly say staying local was great as I could drop paperwork in very easily. Hewitts solicitors seem very good. I booked a call online but no one contacted me. I had to ring them to get things moving. At this point I was told the solicitor the online system recommended was actually on leave. My recommendation would be to ring or call in to get things started. Once the process started it ran smoothly and they seem efficient. Overall I would recommend them and would probably use them again.
